And, it’s completely free to use. Below, we go through the process of setting up our primary photo, so that the image size and aspect ratio is optimized for Match.com.
Go to Pixlr.com and click on “Create a new image.”

Step 1 - Go to Pixlr.com and click "Create a new image."

Step 2 - Type in 900 for the "width" and 1050 for the height.

Step 3 - Now click File -> Open, to open up the picture of you.

Step 4 - Now your primary high quality photo is open. "select all" by clicking on "edit", then "select all". Then click "edit" and then "copy". Then, click on the "untitled" canvas. Now paste your portrait to the "untitled" canvas by clicking "edit" and "paste."

Step 5 - Now we need to scale the photo so that it fills the whole canvas. Select "free Transform".

Step 6 - hold down the Shift key on your keyboard while you drag the black box so that it fills in the whole canvas.

Step 7 - Click "save."

Step 8 - Click "yes."

Step 9 - use a quality of about 90 or so and save it on your hard drive.

You have now created a properly proportioned photo and maximized its image quality. Put it in a safe place on your hard drive so that you are able to upload it to a dating website when you need it.
